Who forget

To look at

Themselves,

Who forget

To look inward

And see

That

Step

In moving towards something,

is acknowledging

The flaws in your Self.

 

This is not to say that some

are better than others

or

less,

Merely,

That the accommodation of imperfection

Is what drives us forwards.

 

Only by failing

Can we grow,

By boobing,

By stuttering, stumbling, misconstruing.

 

Don’t be dissuaded by not quite

Accomplishing

Your goal,

Know,

That by

Stepping-out,

By shuffling along

You have inched towards

The truth.
