Highland breezes even with midges are needed further south. Maybe the lovely chaffinches can eat some midges, as Scottish raspberries are so delicious.

Plus ‘familiar of the glen’, suggests familiar birds and familiar with the 2nd or 7th sight – maybe thro the mists they see YOUNG DAVY and Alan Breck.
