What makes us human?

Our ability to get it wrong

and, wrong again,

To upset those we love;

forget

birthdays

and

Special occasions,

&

underestimate the significance of

the moment.

 

Insensitivity

And

Miscommunication

Are it.

 

We

are

Bluebottles knocking against

glass.

 

We are

Cavemen

Seeking

shelter.

 

Our primitive yearnings,

evolutionary

Sparks,

encourage movement.

 

During times of stillness

We wriggle,

When sad

We laugh

When confused

We…
