How do you kill an idea?

How do you

Put a lid

On fragility?

How do you

Stifle

the creative?

How is it

that it’s feasible

to destroy a notion

before it has

Even

been born?

I’ll tell you how.

You start with the lights.

Shine.

Illuminate.

Demonstrate the possible

Flaws,

Errors

Mistakes.

Then,

Before it

Is strong enough,

Like chick unhatched,

throw it

Into

The limelight.

And,

Once everyone is looking,

dissect.

Comment,

Criticise,

Analyse.

Take a little bit here

And some

From there.

Peck,

Nibble,

Craw.

It won’t stand a chance.

Little daisies

Only grow

Where folk don’t tread.

Ideas,

Emotions,

Thoughts

And

Sparks

Of the

eternal

Only happen

When there is shelter.

Remove that

And you have nothing.

It wasn’t at the moment of the Big Bang

That life was created

But in the

Uncounted moments afterwards.

As the tiger

Drives its teeth,

Hard down,

Suffocating the prey

There is a moment of enlightenment.

Trying to understand the world, one emotion at a time.

  1. The words , expression, thoughts and imagery so powerfully true and affecting. Tiger metaphor ending just so vivid, giving a strong pain-reaction of feeling. The destroyers, cruelly negative , should ‘ accentuate the positive ‘, and they don’t realise it is their loss now and eventually.
