This is how it begins;
How you
slide
down
the
ever so
slippery
path to
perdition.
One moment
you are minding your own business,
perhaps
brushing teeth,
washing dishes,
or,
reflecting on the day
and…
flash.
gristle enters your mind.
As if from nowhere
you think a dark thought.
Jealousy
Envy
Anger.
Intemperance.
Malaise
Enmity
Lust.
I will take that and make it mine and they will do without
or
If I don’t let them know what I know, then I can do this and that and they cannot.
The dybbuk.
It is how the devil
manipulates
time and space
how it
compresses
ideas
into action.
From nothing,
a little devil
sits
and conjures
thoughts.
Good is twisted and
turned
into
malignity.
Inside out,
upside down,
toho and boho.
Inspired by IBS’s short story, The Last Demon.
Evil thoughts are part of all Lives – a very few don’t appear to show them but all have to deal with them at some point in themselves or in others . Occasional instant anger and jealousy sometimes test , but being time/life-limited changes perspective. Path to perdition is a great phrase. Do these thoughts come out of The blue or are they triggered by an action or by something inside ourselves. Is there evil ( apart from notable ‘cases’) or is there stress etc, underlying reactions , which needs to be understood and assistance given.
