Canary in the mine

The Canary

Has all but

Died.

Given up the ghost.

Called time on the miners.

The children of the miners.

This, the next step in the rape of society.

Outsiders.

Outlanders

Who had better find

Other things to do.

End of paternity leave

End of NHS

End of rights of the individual

End of human rights – for, it is always easier to waterboard.

End of Social care

End of retirement

Zero-hours-a-go-go;

And the safety net.

End of free schools

Remember the milk?

Boil.

Boil the beloved country.

Stew.

Disintegrate

Dissemble

Fragment

Crash

Collapse

Father, what did you do in the war?

21st Century version.

Twisted, distorted, convoluted.

The best image

I can think

To represent

Today

Is
